Truly great ...

I've bought a variety of these for my son now seven years old over the last few years. The appearance and durability of these makes the purchase price much more reasonable than it might otherwise appear and the "mix & match" benefit means that when he gets a new addition it's like getting a whole new set of toys. Lots of fun for both of us --- and yes that means I sneak them and play with them when he's not looking!

Great toy but goodness gracious it's pricey!!!

I found this toy on a top ten list this past Christmas. I was a little stumped on what to get my three year old so I ordered him the Sportvan. I was surprised he LOVES it as do my other two sons and my husband. I'm not sure what the fascination is but they play with them all the time and he just got two more for his birthday. He also got the Mini versions from his uncle and those have not been played with as much I wouldn't recommend those. Great toy but sheesh they are so expensive!More detail ...

I love the cars. They are very cool. However my boys are well on their way to being either engineers or decon men. They seem to think the only purpose of these cars is to take them apart starting with the wheels which we then lose and I have to hunt about for. Creative and Durable

I bought the Automoblox truck for my grandson's 4th birthday. It has an instant hit. He liked that he could take the truck apart and put together another combination.

The truck body is actually 3 parts the front end the truck cab(body) and the truck bed joined together by very easy to use bright green plugs. The truck puts together as shown in the images or the cab can be eliminated to make a cute little "buggy".

This toy is very sturdy and appears to be well designed and engineered. I'll be checking with my grandson to see how well his Automoblox truck is holding up to daily play. The Automoblox information says that each Automoblox model is interchangeable with other models. So if this model is holding up well I will be ordering at least one of the other models for Christmas.

Caution for those with smaller children who still like to eat their toys; there are wooden people who plug into the inside of the truck cab the toy loses very little play appeal if you tuck those away until the eating urge passes.

The only downside I can think of is that the price was a bit high. However it does come in a very sturdy cardboard box that seems designed to create the image of an heirloom toy. I can see that happening. All in all if the toy holds up as it appears it is designed to do that is money well spent.

Great for little mechanics

My 3-year-old son loves this little truck. I got it for him as a step up from the mega blocks cars & trucks (they have 3 parts and he loved to mix and match them).



This truck has 12 pieces - three wooden "body" parts (4 1/2 inches long assembled) four wheels (about 3/4 inch each) four rubbery tires and 1 windshield. As I understand it these parts should be interchangeable with other autos in the minis series. There are also "repair" kits available which I think my little guy will really enjoy since he already likes tinkering with the parts he has.



So far he only has one Automoblox but we're planning to add a few to his collection. The pieces seem very solid and I think it will last for quite a while as long as we don't lose any! If you have smaller siblings around just beware - the wheels & tires on this are pretty small! Overall I'm pleased with the quality of this truck and my son loves it!More detail ...

Great for developing gross and fine motor skills and creativity

This is an exceptional toy that combines the gross motor skill training of block the fine motor skills training of fitting pieces together in the correct manner and the creativity of learning how to use different pieces to make unique creations.



It's solid wood good quality and well-packaged. The vehicles are made in the USA although the wood is German beech wood.



The price is a bit high but this isn't a "mass market" toy this is a toy that seems like it could be passed down to your kid's children. Obviously you can tell I was very happy with the toy.More detail ...

Our 2 year old son loves his AUTOMOBLOX car!

Grandpa got this for our 2 yr old son for Christmas and he absolutely adores it. He is a car fanatic and gets giddy at the sight of any vehicle! It must be in the genes! ;-)



The car is made up of 3 separate pieces that are easily taken apart and put back together and all 4 wheels/tires are removable as well but he has not figured that out yet!



When he drives the car around my husband and I have noticed the occasional squeak but that is from the plastic wheel rubbing against the wood. Our son doesn't mind it at all though!



I also feel I should mention that this car is rated for ages 3+ and I was very concerned about this being hazardous for his age (2). However the only choking hazard are the 2 plastic people that fit inside of the car. So we just took them out and are saving them for when he is a bit older. The rest of the car is harmless and all of the pieces are too big to be a danger.



We plan to get him another automoblox or 2 so he can switch the pieces around and build different cars!More detail ...
